Hi guys!
Hi guys! Tested my concept of creating a guest account on Google Plus for use by people who have no Google Plus account of their own. In my short video, I logged in via a laptop using the "guest" account. I invited the guest account into the hangout, and when the invitation was accepted the guest camera picked up the "pre designated" custom overlay for use as a lower third. That concept seemed to work well. Now I have a question. If I wanted to provide a custom overlay to my guest while we were in the "green room" could I use Google Drive for that purpose? I've toyed a little with trying to run slide presentations from Google Drive (which seems to be recommended elsewhere) but confess to having no success. Any thoughts?

That's a darn good question, John! I was always under the impression that a file used from Google Drive worked from a copy of the file taken into the host, but I could be wrong about that assumption. Have you tested it yet? I guess you have from your confession of no success... either way, I'm pretty sure a page refresh would be needed to load the new version of the file. Please ping my name when you do some more tests!
