Looking for a solution: We have had three HOAs, where one or two people, on the Panel (in the Filmstrip) could NOT hear another panelist. Totally Weird. The solution was to REFRESH the browser.
Also, twice, my lower 3rd would not show up, even when it was turned on. The Beta Comment Tracker comments wouldn't show up either. Again, REFRESH resolved this.
Any clues ? or is anyone else having these issues? Browser, not platform (Mac / PC) didn't matter. One person in our community suggested an update to Chrome, but we had other browsers with the sound issue.

Help I'm Livestreaming now at EPA Water Technology Innovation Cluster Leaders Meeting from Pittsburgh, don't have a way to test whether sound, video working, and whether people can type in chat box. Could someone please go to the site and type in a comment, and let me know what you see? I have other cameras I can use if this it spotty although, from my end, it looks like the built-in video camera was working as well as the 920 and other attachable camera I have (I just switched to the 920). Note: I am NOT looking to start a hangout (and please don't call me to start one - will interrupt my current hangout) - but looking to see whether you cen see the embedded hangout and comment on the chatbox below the video. We will be using a layer mask to do this, and converting some text to pixels so we can use it as our cookie cutter! We will also make some shapes and do some hole cutting with those.

Today I got a call from the head of the EPA water innovation clusters and she wants me to come out to Pittsburgh to provide online access to their meeting of cluster leaders! WOO HOO! John Brown Andrew Hatchett hopefully I can test some of the tweaks we discussed last night after last week's online participation. I may be able to bring people into the filmstrip this time, and I'll moderate their networking and workshopping with each other during the breaks and breakouts, and/or bring over speakers to talk with the online folks. I already received the presentations in dropbox and they are all in PDF - do I need to do anything to a PDF to save it on a google drive if I do this on the Chromebook? Or do I have to have the presentations on a different computer and call that into the Hangout separately?

Just wanted to extend an invite to this Hangout on Air which we are hosting this April 24th. It is a presentation in a conference setting so it should be fun. We ran some tests on Monday and the connection was great. The only drawback is that it will be in Italian with no English translation.

Just wanted to extend an invite to this Hangout on Air which we are hosting this April 24th. It is a presentation in a conference setting so it should be fun. We ran some tests on Monday and the connection was great. The only drawback is that it will be in Italian with no English translation.

There was a post about updates in G+ that impact HOAs - do I need to download those updates on each computer I'm using (I was going to call in on at least 2 different computers with 2 different G+ accounts). My provider automatically sets my web site to be mobile friendly but when I double checked on my phone this morning I had to adjust font color in some sections. As some may have noticed there are now 2 Hangout Toolbox Apps available when in a HOA. The new one has, imho, a more attractive interface. The new one does not automatically transfer old Lower Thirds or custom overlays at this time.
One interesting aspect is that both the old and new Hangout Toolbox apps can, at least for now, be used at the same time.
In the picture below the Lower Third in yellow came from the old Toolbox while the pink 'Upper Third' (for lack of a better name) came from the new Toolbox.

Hi, Brain Trust. My next guest on CHANGES HOA is using Windows XP on a wireless laptop connection. I did a practice with him today and it was awful:
1) the audio had a lot of interference/extra noises
2) every time he moved, there was a blurring
3) the image was blurry even when he stayed still
4) the image and audio were jerky and kept stopping, almost crashing, then resuming
I asked him please to arrange for a wired connection between now and Tuesday and we could test it again (Show is Wed. AM CDT). Will that fix it?

Finally got those going only to find out that the camera wasn't switching to each speaker automatically as each of us talked. I had to switch manually throughout the HOA. What a pain.
Any experience with the camera's not switching and ways to fix it in the future? Or, any of these other problems mentioned above, especially the out-of-synch thing, which occurred on Melita Noël Cantú 's HOA yesterday as well.

I am Michael Daniels. I helped start the User2 User community and I love the fact that we are TRULY all users helping one another. So tonight my baseball game got cancelled because of rain, so I wanted to have an impromptu Hangout to let new folks come ask questions and let some regulars chime in.

I live in the Western PA mountains with my husband, our 13 year old son and our cat. We also have 3 adult sons and 3 grandkids. There's a never a dull moment around here - and I love every minute of it! =)

I have been reading posts and getting the feel of a very helpful community. I am trying to learn G+. Haven't got the full hang of circles and communities but I am learning. I was introduced to hangouts by Lisa Engles and look forward to learning to use them well. I will be using the resources here. Thank you
I am serving a support community for Christian wives. My heart is especially for those struggling to maintain or recovering from marriages that have failed.

Well, this is curious. When I select "Yes" or "Maybe" on an HOA Event, my Google Calendar is no longer updating.

I just noticed today that the reminder for Roland's Saturday Morning Smarties was not on my calendar even though I replied "Maybe" several days ago. I've since responded to several other Events on G+ and they are not updating either.
Anyone else experiencing this? What setting have I messed up that would stop this desired behavior?

The same ad-supported, free version of YouTube we all know and love won’t be going anywhere—and is a core focus of our company. All of your videos will continue to be there. A paid offering will simply give your fans new features that they don’t have today and you an additional source of revenue.

Greetings! Is anyone having issues with Windows 8 and HOAs?
Greetings! Is anyone having issues with Windows 8 and HOAs?
I have a friend using W8, and HOAs tend to shut down, and will not function, even though she just bought her laptop, which is a pretty substantial Lenovo PC.
Could it be a settings issue, or some level of permissions in the Chrome browser?
She can achieve some success joining Hangouts (as panel member, or filmstrip member...) with Firefox.
Any clues are appreciated. Thanks. Roland
