today I clicked the link in Safari, and went to Business hangouts to start my session.

today I clicked the link in Safari, and went to Business hangouts to start my session. I clicked on the red button to start. Rather than start it took me to the splash page for the event asking me to sign in. I did, using google, although I was already signed in.

It then took me to the standard google hangout page, so I quit and tried again. Finally after three attempts as it was late, I made up a fake public hangout, and once in clicked on the business hangouts icon and went to scheduled hangouts and clicked. it opened what looked like the live business hangout window, but NONE of the people invited could find me. Where they showed up it said I had not arrived, though I was live. We spent an hour trying to get connected. Nothing worked. We went to Skype.

I will never get them back on business hangouts again, they were laughing. (luddites) Anyone have any idea what the heck is going on?

I have not had that problem before. I even invite people from within the live hangout, send them the link, they click it and they cannot get in.

Please help!

Point your fans and followers to your website or blog to view your latest live broadcast. You can now include live chat as well!

Embed an upcoming livestream video on your blog or website

The embedded video will display your channel's channel art header as the thumbnail. When a visitor clicks the play button, they will see the countdown to the live event.

1. Schedule your livestream at YouTube Live Events (www.youtube.com/my_live_events) or set up a Hangout on Air Event on Google+

2. Open the video watch page, using the link on My Live Events in YouTube or your Google+ Event

3. Under the video click Share > Blogger to create a Blogger blog post.

If you don't have a Blogger blog click Share > Embed to get the embed code.

4. Once the embed code is added to your blog post or website, publish.

Lower Third not showing? Check this!

Some of you may have noticed issues with any overlay not showing recently. This is caused by a bug with Hangouts which is currently being investigated. In the meantime you can use this workaround.

Start your Hangout using https://talkgadget.google.com/hangouts/_/ which will make the overlays including lower thirds work again.

As you can see below it works just fine. And yes, this is the material design version I am still working on.........if I have time, that is.

Can anyone help me? 1)My problem is that I cannot get into Hangouts on Air as the Host. 2)In the setup, I enter the name of the HOA and description. 3)I enter the starting time and the length. 3)I enter my name and click on Share. Then a statement pops up that says, “Click here to verify your You Tube account.” 4)When I click on this statement a pop-up statement appears which reads, “Your account has been verified by You Tube already.” A “CONTINUE” button appears. 5)I click on the button and it takes me to the features page of my You Tube account. This happens every time I attempt to schedule an HOA.

I'm a recently retired EFL teacher in France, and I am continuing in the English Language Teaching field with EVO: the Electronic Village Online. We have been messing around with G+C, hangouts, and HoA pretty much since the beginning, but it's all very amateurish, so I'm hoping to pick up some tips, and contibute here.

I'm excited to announce that today we have launched a new dense mode for Hangouts. You can access the new mode by going into the settings and choosing "Use dense roster". It will remove avatars and recent messages to give you a more condensed view of your conversations.

We just recently rolled out a new section of My Account - a list of the accounts you've blocked.

No more jumping through hoops to find someone if you need to unblock them, or to check if you already have someone blocked. Just visit https://myaccount.google.com and click on "Your personal info" -> "Blocked users" to open the list.

Want to unblock someone? Find them in the list and click the 'X' next to their name.

Note that you can't create blocks from My Account. New blocks are created in the products where you interact with people. This helps avoid blocking the wrong account: as it turns out there are a lot of people with similar names out there. We put the 'create block' option in places like G+ post menus or Hangouts conversation options so you know exactly who you'll be blocking.

Today we're starting to roll out our ninth Android app update of the year. In addition to addressing a number of bugs and accessibility issue, we've also added quicker access to new posts and additional Google apps.
