Anyone else using OBS having trouble after the latest Windows 10 update?

SORRY - Doesn't seem there will be a show today. Win10 update broke Voicemeeter's ability to get audio into OBS.

Actually, I cannot get ANY audio into EITHER version of OBS by any means... Ugh!"
Terry Leigh Britton -- I thought that the April update 1803 had an Audio feature added. I'll see if I can find that article

See post above this one - it was only a privacy setting issue, for both the microphone and the camera - for OBS and Voicemeeter to be able to port audio around.
ReplyDeleteBTW Russ, I'm not sure this is what you saw, but they FINALLY fixed an audio "mistake" in this release that they were not really wanting to admit has plagued Windows for YEARS. Timing issue - now repaired at last. Vincent Burel of Voicemeeter posted about it three months ago and was informed by MS it was slated to be fixed in this update.

ReplyDeleteThanks Terry! Clarification much appreciated. :)[https://plus.google.com/+TerryLeighBritton/posts/HF3jPQ29qLk]
I know that OBS had an update but not windows, Some pretty cool stuff I think it was Nick or EVOS who did a video already on the OBS through Stream Live, Not sure through May be in one of my Play Lists
ReplyDeleteCraig Long Yes, but he clearly did not have any privacy settings issues. Those settings he showed are not necessary to make OBS get audio from Voicemeeter. See, I'm taking an ASIO audio interface and converting it via Voicemeeter to Windows audio (as OBS cannot "see" ASIO directly and needs a Windows Audio stream), and by outputting that to Windows Audio it is treated like a microphone stream. With the privacy settings to not share my microphone with ANY app, that audio could not get to OBS. (Or to anywhere else, for that matter.)
