Which part of Hangouts do you use mostly ?

Is that from an Android APP view point? (based on the community of that survey)

My question is really about who the users are in the survey. SmartPhone, ChromeBook, PC/Mac users.

  2. Russ Worthington All I know is that the Poll was posted in one of the Chromebooks community. You can view the names of who responded but no info on what they were using.

  3. Russ Worthington My error- that poll was re-shared to the chromebook community but was originally in an Android community of which I'm not a member.

  4. Andrew Hatchett - Thank you. I get the %-ages then. I IM my family a lot with my Droid. I would think the Chromebook community would have the Video Chat a lot higher.

  5. Andrew Hatchett and Russ Worthington curious if anybody has tried making international calls with hangouts or Google voice? I have heard people doing it, but have not tried it myself

  6. Mark Barrus I believe the guys over at Business Hangouts have mentioned using it.

  7. Yep Mark Barrus GV works perfectly on international calls. Not free, but very competitive. Since hangouts and GV merged, I dumped Skype out for international calls and happily use GV with the hangout dialer app on mobile (and chrome extension for GV on desktop ). I even use that line for some calls and texting in the US. Faster typing a text on a desktop keyboard :) And cloud based (all texts history, calls history, voice messages are now device agnostic, accessible from anywhere anytime.) Using the traditional Telco mobile phone or text vs. GV/Hangouts is like using MS Word vs. Google Docs :)

  8. Thanks Business Hangouts it's surprising how many times I've had to use my Google voice number with hangouts when there was no reception for telephone.
