I did a test hangout with my son this afternoon, but we had a lot of trouble getting the audio and video of both of our computers to synchronize. Do you have any suggestions for smoothing this out before the hangout?

  1. Andrea Amador I'm unclear what you mean when you say "getting the audio and video of both of our computers to synchronize".

Were you both in the filmstrip or was one of you only watching on the event page?

  2. Andrew Hatchett How can I tell if he was included in the filmstrip?
I sent him the invite via Chat but he was never able to access it. I think that he was only a viewer through the invite I sent to his email.

  3. +Andrew Hatchett Sorry about the wait. I am having trouble with this computer. I'll have to go downstairs and plug into my office computer. I'll be a  minute.

  4. +Audrea Amador,

The LINK to send to some one is in two places, Lower Right LINKs ICON and the URL in the Address Bar of your Browser.

However, you don't put that link in the Hangout Chat box. That Chat box is for only those IN the Hangout.

    Sound issue.

ALWAYS, Always, Always check the Settings ICON (Gear) at the top center of the Hangout Screen. Default is NOT the right answer. You want to make sure that what specific Headset (mike and speakers) have been selected.
