First- thanks for taking the time to respond - and for pointing out the broken link.
Buried in the about section (and yes, I'll concede it is a bit lengthy) it states the purpose of the community:
"_User2User-LIVE! is meant to be an online interactive resource providing help for those using Hangouts On Air or Business-Hangouts On Air._*
"_If you are new to Hangout On Air, check out the About section of the community. It contains several useful links._* If you need to practice or need help with something but lack the time for a LIVE session, simply post a message here in the community and/or start a HOA and post the link in the community.*
We rarely record a session unless a planned demo or presentation is scheduled.
The daily sessions act more as a live online help desk and can be very wide ranging in the subject matter that is covered, we therefore rarely record a session unless a planned demo or presentation is scheduled.
As to the membership application... We have found that using it in conjunction with the "Ask to Join" status of the community has reduced spamming and trolling in the community to practically zero.
Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions - now, I'm off to fix that broken link.
Thanks for explaining. Yeah, that totally makes sense about the spamming and trolling, and it makes it more clear as well as what the community is about.
As far as not recording--I still think it would be good to record a lot of them; one might be surprised with how much people can learn by just watching other people interact. :)
Hi, Kizzume Fowler. Most members are related to "small business" owners and "students" of marketing. Here, we have dealt with many issues from protocols in streaming media to software / apps issues. I've "learned-and-confirmed" many things participating with members. Probably the most valuable thing is the positive attitude and focus of service, things that I am attracted to in personal affairs and business. I can usually count on the concept that if I am experiencing some issue(s) in my production of Hangouts On Air, this community is probably addressing them.
What is it that you do, and what value do you think there might be in membership here? and what value might you add?
Kizzume Fowler guess you will have to participate to find out!
Engagement with others who are experimenting and receiving support as they do so - sharing learnings and best practices - is the reason I'm here. Always someone here to help out when needed.
Relationships and engagement - why is that so hard to comprehend?
