  2. Andrew Hatchett Absolutely I am! Although I haven't started yet but I am getting close, I am working on my video Down loads store at the moment and updating it I have several How to available left to upload. I was going to do it with YouTube but something happend with the subscribers, so I just went somewhere else. 1000 subscribers rule is a stupid requirement

  6. Heather Kraafter Hey guys yes I market some of my "How To" videos in relationship to what I do in the painting and decorative arts business as rentals or purchases and YouTube says you have to have at least 1000 subscribers in order to use this feature in their "Montezation" platform. It's a stupid rule as I just went somewhere else. You see I film and produce my own line of How to DVD's and had shut it down for a while. I am just now putting it back to work but only under a different delivery format. I am also going to do my own EBooks this way. Since I am mostly at home since my legs went to hell on me I find myself having more time to put into this as the decorative arts can be still lucrative with the many different designs I have created over the years , Not to mention the many different art forms I have become known for. This kind of knowledge I just don't give away as I spent my whole life learning it
Anyway YouTube is whacked by requiring the 1000 subscribers when they ok the ads for use on your uploaded property in the first place. It just doesn't make sense to me.

  8. That is cool that you do that however what you are talking about, monetization on youtube, is actually to make money from advertising on your videos.
You have to have 1000 subscribers in order for youtube to allow you turn that on so it is clear that you are a real person and ready to work on producing videos.
Besides that it takes a huge number of views to even earn $1 on YouTube monetization.

Just wanted to clear that up for ya.
    Best of luck

  10. Heather Kraafter I am very aware of how it works for ads on vids. That is not what I am talking about. I am referring to the actual rental and/or sales of your recorded downloadable material. on YouTube huge difference. There's a number of these kind of share sites on the net that are used for education, Art, Music, Photography and other creatives. You just need to know about editing and the different codecs.
