I am asking for some input from anyone in the community who uses Filmora for video editing. I am a novice and was comfortable with YouTubes services until the stopped making them available to us. I thought I'd ask for some input or better yet alternative suggestions. A lifetime license is $60.00 and they do sell different plug in's that appear to be reasonable.
What say you?

ReplyDeleteFilmora is on my list to look at but haven't had time to play with it yet.
i messed with it just a little bit and it left Filmora water marks on things.
ReplyDeleteI still use Windows Movie Maker since I'm a Windows user. It's free
ReplyDeleteCraig Long It doesn't come on new computers and can't find any way to download it. I have it on my pc but not on my laptop.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I downloaded it to both of my Windows 10 computers.
ReplyDeleteI'm not able to get on my laptop right now but i copied the link so i can try it later. I'll let you know if it works.
ReplyDeleteCraig Long
ReplyDeleteLooks like that works- just downloaded and added to my win 10 tower and created 1st movie - Thanks a lot!!!!
Andrew Hatchett Oh that's great.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to add it to my laptop then. Much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteRichard Clarkson Sure, let's hope it works.
ReplyDeleteI tried Movie Maker a few times and there was a lot of files that Movie Maker would not open like MOD, Flv. and a few others. So I just continued to use AVS4You Each component is web base and you can down load what you need with out eating up your hard drive.
ReplyDeleteCraig Long was it a FREE use past a 14 day trial? I had the message on sign-up that it's a trial.

ReplyDeleteInteresting- I don't recall seeing that. I'll have to watch for it when I put it on my other windows machine this weekend.
Andrew Hatchett Let me know how it goes please. I need a Windows based video editor and at the moment I haven't put it in my budget... hence the need for Free.

ReplyDeleteWill do - I'm in the same boat. ;)
Ros Boundy I don't see anything about it not being free forever.
ReplyDeleteIf Windows Movie Maker doesn't open you may need to install the Visual C++ Redistributables.
ReplyDeleteI believe my first link automatically installed the required Visual C++ Redistributables whereas this last link may not auto install the necessary supporting programs.
ReplyDeleteMine installed and opened and seems to work - I've never tried the sign-in button in upper right and yet it still seems to work ok.

Craig Long Hmmm interesting, I never knew that about the C++ This could be the reason I could not open those other files and/or play them (
ReplyDeleteCodec reason)
Arthur Morehead Could be. You might get the error "The side-by-side configuration is incorrect" (something like that)if you don't have those C++ programs.
ReplyDeleteYou really need these if programs aren't opening. I just download all of them and those that don't install I just don't worry about them. Just the "Visual C++" programs which should download quickly. I don't think you need the program labeled "Library" : support.microsoft.com - support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
ReplyDeleteCraig Long I took a look at that file and that thing is huge. It goes all the way back to
ReplyDeleteMicrosoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition ?
Ros Boundy My install of Movie Maker was free also
ReplyDeleteArthur Morehead One of my older programs requires 2008.
ReplyDeleteIf your programs are starting OK you don't need to install the Visual C++.
