Thank you all that participated or viewed yesterday in our Training sessions!

Thank you all that participated or viewed yesterday in our Training sessions!
I thought that would be a fun way to learn.  And I think we accomplished some fun.

If a trainer or Newbie did not get to your questions last night, that is ok, they had a specific task at hand and a time constraint as well.

Let's try to have sessions each week if possible till we all get comfortable.  If you would like to participate, please respond to this. We encourage new folks to come and have a go at it.

Everyone's feedback is encouraged here.

  1. Michael Daniels   I had a thought.  What if we took 1 area/piece of Business Hangouts each week and thoroughly dissected it, showed everyone how it works etc.  Business Hangouts has so much to offer that it can be overwhelming.  BUT, if we take it piece by piece and each piece builds on the other - it might not be so intimidating.  Thoughts?

  2. Leila Martin I like that idea - a lot. There are several areas of BHO that need to be more fully covered in detail as to options, etc. to really understand and get full use of the program.

  3. Done!
Let's do a hangout every night at 6pm in Andrew Hatchett  regular sessions UNLESS he wants to keep this open (let me know Andrew).
What are the things you need to know FIRST.  Because if I go over stuff that is not relevant to you or you will never use that feature, then why spend time learning that.
We can record a certain part for 5 to 10 minutes.  But stay in and talk a bunch more on other features in the "after green room".

I am open to ideas further THANK you Leila Martin for your input and please let's expound on this!

  4. Whew, I'm glad you like the idea, I was concerned I would offend you.  Yes, let's talk more about this because Business Hangouts really needs to be seen for the value it brings!

Thank you both Michael Daniels  and Andrew Hatchett  for all your time, patience and knowledge. ;-)

  5. Michael Daniels I'd love it if people wanted to use the 6pm timeslot! I'm there m-f so it makes sense from that standpoint.

  6. Re: your statement "if I go over stuff that is not relevant to you etc."

If you announce what you're going to go over, then people can choose to watch or not.

I think you explain what you're going to do and you literally start from the beginning and each session move forward, you will gather more not only more interest but more people who see the benefits of BHO.

If the topic is already something they know, they skip that session.  Just like in school week after week you build on the topic so the pieces go together to form the whole.

It would also be helpful it these "teachable moments" are kept somewhere easily accessible for review - not sure if that is possible.

When we learn something in a logical way it's easier to put that into action.

As far as the 6:00 pm EST time slot, that might be tough for those that work.  That's still in my working hours and would be difficult for me and others I would bet.

What about something like 8:00 EST.  I know that's different that the hours you have set aside - again just my 2 cents

  7. Leila Martin and Michael Daniels     I'm completely flexible as to the time.  As to the accessibility of the 'teachable moments' , we could actually record the sessions and build a YouTube library of them - and, of course, the hangouts themselves are set up to be open for re-visiting.

  8. A YouTube Library is an awesome idea Andrew Hatchett   and I, for one, appreciate the time flexibility.

  9. Rayne Dowell  I am thinking of a registered BHOA each time.  That way it can go on your calendar!
I want to encourage the use of the BHOA and try to stay away from G+, since not all folks are on G+.  More for getting used to it this way.

  10. Rayne Dowell If you said yes to the event posting I did on July 21 when I started the present HOA event then it is (or should be)  already on your calendar... the trick is the event actually started at 2AM so look in that timeslot. You should see a solid line running from July 21st to August 16th.  :)

  11. Don't know what to tell you as to why it isn't showing.

  12. So a Google Plus Event is not showing on your calendar Rayne Dowell ?
    That makes no sense.
This is the ONLY reason for doing an event in Google plus.
Andrew Hatchett  try putting the Registration link in here.  See if by doing that she gets an email with a chance to add it to her calendar.

  13. Michael Daniels  Rayne Dowell   it shows up on my Google Calendar BUT up at the top of the calendar NOT at 9:00pm  I assume that is because it is an on-going event that happens at different times of the day???
