whats going on with google+?

whats going on with google+??? i'm getting lots of people i've never seen or talked to or shared with adding me to their circles. most of the time when i get those they have someone in common with me so thats fine. i've just never seen that many requests to add strangers to a circle. those are just collecting names

  2. Wow, this is so interesting.  I just had 30 people circle me in the last 4 hours.
I have no idea what is going on.  Most from the Asia and the Middle East

  3. It is the pirate hat drawing them to you richard clarkson  Remember your HOA with Meloney?  You are now a star!  :-))))

It's not Google Plus.  It's people who don't know how to use G+ that's making it happen.  Ignore unless you look at the profiles and know you want to be connected with the circle.  I'm not having the problem BTW.  So John Jurkiewicz and Leila Martin must be stars in their own right. :-)

  7. it's just been yesterday and today it's happened. some i block and some i just ignore. it just seems weird it hasn't been like that before. Maybe its because they can use whatever name they want. some have girls pics with guys names.

  8. Maybe they missed me Rayne Dowell - fingers crossed.  Are you getting them too?

  9. Who is sharing this circle?  Do we know who started it?

  10. Rayne Dowell  you left yesterday before I got to ask if you saw my last question to you about the elevator speech

  11. Leila Martin It is just a guess on my part that the cause was a circle sharing (but is the most plausible thing I can think of). No way to tell who tho.

  12. +Rayne- I don't consider it an honor at all! If I want my name spread hither, thither, and yon then I'll be the one to do it. How DARE someone give my name to a bunch of yahoos I don't know, share neither contacts nor interests with, and probably will have no interest in knowing.

  13. Add them back?? !!  I just sent this message to the latest- and will be sending it to all future one as well...

    "You recently circled me- Why?
As far as I can see we share neither contacts nor interests.
Please remove me from any of your circles

  14. John Jurkiewicz You have to take a definite action. (Go to "People", click "Your Circles", click on one of your circles,  Click "Actions, Click "Share this Circle"). It isn't something you can do by accident.

  15. oh ok I wasn't quite sure what it was. Thanks Andrew Hatchett I have the same thing happening with my twitter account

  16. richard clarkson I have noticed the same. Like Andrew Hatchett I do not appreciate folks sharing circles unless they know what they are doing. A few months ago someone did this, and I blocked her. There are a lot of folks that do not understand circles and when it is appropriate to share them.

  17. I agree Sandra VanSickle I read an article yesterday that talked about circle sharing and the author suggested that you create an "Unknown Circle" and keep those questionable people in it for up to ten days. If you have no interaction with them remove them. I had someone I'd inadvertently marked as "acquaintance" contact Saturday morning asking for money so she could continue her college education, lol.

  18. Agree Sandra VanSickle and John Jurkiewicz circle sharing has changed and we must be careful.
