YouTube Live Stream Archive FAQ and troubleshooting

This is a FAQ I wrote up for the YouTube help forum that covers:

> How to enable a live stream archive
> How to make the live stream archive automatically unlisted
> How long the archive can be
> How long it takes for the archive to process
> What to do if the archive is stuck in processing, truncated, or otherwise not right

If you think I left anything out, or if it could be clearer, please let me know!

  1. Thanks for sharing Andrew Hatchett ! Note that the information applies to Hangouts on Air as well - they are a Live Event.

  2. Is it possible to use three cameras in the OBS platform? It says it is but I have not found how to set this up yet

  4. Arthur Morehead You can't use OBS with Hangouts. It is designed for
Stream Now at https://www.youtube.com/live_dashboard or Live Events at https://www.youtube.com/my_live_events (using Custom settings).

In OBS add a "Scene" then right click the "Sources" box and go to "Add" then to "Video capture device". Then you can add another "Scene" and "Video Capture Device" the same way. You would need to have a hardware video capture device if you don't use a USB camera/webcam. But I have always only used one USB webcam and have never used anything else.

Yes I did know about the capture cards. The one thing to warn about also when buying the capture cards is you cant use the ones from "BlackMagic  Design" with the Dell mother boards and its recommended to get the Magewell instead ($350) Hoever I also read that the switching and focusing might be an issue
