LowellAnn Fuglsang Looks like you have been 'discovered'! I've had this happen but more in my collections than in my community. Luckily with my application form I can ignore all "Ask to join" requests without even looking at the profiles :)
Looks like most are either brand new to G+ or use other languages. Application on form may be the way to go since the rules of the game provided seem to be ignored.
Same thing is happening to me in my artist groups called 'spy bots' and are not real people. If they have incomplete profiles 'boot em' Since LinkedIn has made changes you can expect to see more of this in other social medias
I have been experiencing hundreds of requests DAILY for so many months now that I stopped looking at the moderator section a while ago. I took Andrews lead and made a form and never bother with reject or approve any longer.
