  1. Interesting chart Andrew Hatchett -- I see that Google Groups are listed. Are they part of Google+

Google Groups were around even before G+. They started out as mere dedicated mailing lists in GMail but have been develop quite a bit over the years.

  3. Actually, I had been on Google Groups, just not active. But, I am wondering if it will to the way of Google+.

Also, have you heard of any official announcement that Communities, Circles, and Collections are going away when Google+ does ?

    Thanks,

    Russ

I've heard nothing about Groups going away and since they are essentially based on GMail I'd be surprised if they did.

As to Communities, Collections, and Circles...since they are part of G+ they are all expected to go away on the consumer side but should still be ok using a G Suite account.

  5. Andrew Hatchett --Your last point is the one that suggests to me, that the 3 C's have a chance to be available to the consumer, since those platforms will be part of G Suite. But, not holding my breathe.

    Thanks,

    Russ

  6. Cousin Russ using GSuite, G+ features (which includes the 3 C's you separated out) will be available.
As a free option G+, and those features, is going away.
