Hey all!

Hey all!  Hope all my friends are have a good day.  My dual monitors are now working but I can't seem to get speakers/headset working.  Any ideas?

  1. Wish I could help Sandy Barnett but I've no experience with dual monitors.

  3. Sandy Barnett I presume you mean that you are using a usb headset but either you cannot hear through it, or your voice is not being recorded through its microphone.  Again presuming, if this is a windows machine go  into Control Panel | Hardware and Sound | Sound | Manage Audio Devices (Windows 7?), there you should see a three tabbed box. On one tab (Playback) your USB headset should be listed as one of the audio output devices. It does not have to be the default device but most show "ready."  The Recording tab will list the microphone devices Windows sees. Make sure your headphone mic is listed and shows ready.  Now within the HOA, under the gear select both the microphone (check to see if it says "default" if so whatever mic shown as default under recording tab will be selected), and the speaker icon (likewise if it says default the audio output device specified within Windows as the default will be selected.)  I default works, great.  If not, select the pull down menu and specify the explicit device you wish to use in the HOA for mic and speakers.
Keep in mind, if you unplug your headset after specifying it as the default device, it will not be retained.  It is a good idea to confirm both in each HOA session, or at least each time you change the configuration by adding/removing mics and speakers/headsets.
I hope that helps.  If not ask explicit questions and provide more information.

  5. Thank Andrew Hatchett and John Brown I had to switch several things.  First of all, all graphics run from my graphics card.  I had a move my headset from the top of my computers speaker ports to the back on I guess the mother board and that got them working.  Sorry John this computer is an I Buy Power computer from Best Buy and it is just not a standard assembly.  When it works it works great.  When it doesn't it takes a bit to figure out how in the world they assembled it.  Anyway I CAN HEAR
