Andrew Hatchett - I have some quick questions about BHO set up.
As you know, I"m creating a multi-day event.
1) I don't need an invitation email for all the event days, just the first one. Is there a way to disable the other ones?
2)
3) I want to put the link to the event- do I use "registration link" or "meeting link"?
Thanks for your help!!
3)
ReplyDeleteIf you are requiring registration. So I would put the registration link in
1) If I remember correctly and you are doing a multi-day event then only one confirmation will be sent if you allow 1 registration for all days. If you required registration for each day's event then confirmations will be sent for each registration so no need to disable others ( if I've understood your question).
ReplyDelete3) Send the Registration link.
Andrew Hatchett - great. Yes, I'm only requiring 1 registration for all 4 days. So, BHO will only send out that initial 'thank you' email. Awesome! Ok, I'll but the registration link in. Btw, what's the difference between the two?
ReplyDeleteLast thing-- for replay, which link do put in? the Meeting Link?
Thanks guys!
Lisa Engles when you say 'replay', exactly what do you mean?
ReplyDeletea) See the Video (Give YouTube Link)
b) re-enter the HOA to see the unified chat, etc? (Give meeting link but...if you required registrationthe meeting link will only be good for those who registered before the event ending time)
Andrew Hatchett - replay of the event. These are all going to be recorded since a regular HOA. I want to have the replay of the HOA available.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I noticed that the links aren't the same for each of the events- So now I'm confused again. If they only have to register 1 time, why do I need to continue to send them the registration link? Wouldn't I just send them into the meeting link?
I think I get it now... so they sign up for the event (which is 4 days ) which is a one-step process. which means that they will then get the emails and the invites. BUT, they also need to register for each of the 4 hangouts because of course, they are all separate hangouts... lol. So, I need to be sure that the correct registration links and replay links are put into the auto responders. To get the replay link, I'll have to wait until I start the hangout to get the youtube video like OR , I thought that they could actually watch the replay of the HOA from within the event room. Is this correct? THanks so much for the help Andrew Hatchett and Michael Daniels
ReplyDeleteLisa Engles IIRC, these were set up as re-occurng events with only one registration required, thus each will have its own link, not one link for all events. Each recording will have its own YouTube Link and each will have a meeting link to allow those who registered to go back and re-enter that particular BHOA event.
ReplyDeleteLisa Engles get the hoa link from YouTube. Then you can drag it into the unified chat. Or you can put it in the details section using the html editor
ReplyDeleteAndrew Hatchett
ReplyDeleteLol-- I'm still confused.
Here's my question: Which links do I use in the auto responder for 1) the pre-event emails which say 'session is starting soon, join us here' 2) after the event emails which say 'sorry you missed it, here's the replay'?
Sorry if I'm being unclear.
Lisa Engles
ReplyDelete1).Use the meeting link as that particular email will only be sent to those who have already registered.
2) Use Meeting link- same as above.
Remember-BHO can only send emails to someone who has either registered (if registration is required) or logged in previouly.
:)
Got it! Thanks Andrew Hatchett . Last question-- which of the merge codes is the 'meeting link'? (if there is one)
ReplyDeleteRegistered and got confirmation.
ReplyDeleteYay :) THanks Andrew Hatchett !!
ReplyDeleteGot it!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like I need to be validated before I can join the Event early. Not sure if that is what you wanted?
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to see if you got an email confirmation that you were registered. I'm hoping that I set it up right becuase I'll be promoting it on my show today :)
ReplyDeleteThere is no way for us to get to the event that I can tell
ReplyDeleteok, I'm not too worried about that part right now. I just wanted to be sure the email was sent first. Thanks Michael Daniels !!
