G+ sharing a post to a Page from a profile.
I just couldn't get it to work properly and look good but it's easy.
Now that I know how, thought I'd share with the community. If you don't have a G+ Page (Google My Business Listing) stop reading/watching now. :D

Sheila Hensley - I agree. Can't pull up my Page. My Page is my a Circle, but the Page did not receive the Share.
ReplyDeleteI am on the Old Google+
I also need to admit that I hadn't tried that before.
Russ
Great info and tutorial Sheila Hensley, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI was trying everything Cousin Russ. That happened to me too. It has nothing to do with circles. The trick is to be on the page, then look up the profile and share from there. I'll test in Classic and see if it's the same. Will report back.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill Graham I enjoy doing those as much as interviews - short, informative and then I'm outta there. Keep my fingers crossed that their helpful to others. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Sheila Hensley. Time for us all to make the shift to the new Google + I guess.
ReplyDeleteI've been using it with my Page since it came out Lowell Ann Fuglsang Used to it now and can hardly use Classic there. However, I still use Classic on my profile as that's the default. I like it . . . for my page. :)
ReplyDeleteI am making sure I understand?? An original post can be shared with a profile or a page or to a collection for a page or a profile. This has always been available.
ReplyDeleteWhat would be nice is sending from one collection to another ie: Profile to a Page. If this is what you are saying is possible, I may just have to re-watch the video :)
I will research Sir Michael Daniels However, I believe it shared from a profile collection to a page collection it is shared privately rather than public. Back to you with that info.
ReplyDeleteAh read carefully! I said "an original post" can be shared to a profile's collection and then to a pages collection. Right? What can't be done is a post within a collection cannot be shared to a page. Right?
ReplyDeleteChecking but I think you've got it backwards. Original post has nothing to do with it.
ReplyDeleteFrom a profile you can not share to a page at all unless you start the share from the page and then go to the profile (or collection on that profile) - then you can share to a page.
As shown in the screencast, you Can share from a profile collection to a page but only if you begin with the page.
The trick is to begin on your page to start the share.
