Reaching out to see if anyone in the community is familiar with the Logitech Brio 4K webcam and what their opinion of it is. I am going to be doing some training videos for a client and it was recommended.
John Jurkiewicz All I can contribute is that I don't know that much about it but I've seen it mentioned in a post or two and haven't really heard anything bad about it.
John, a few questions. How will you be recording these streaming directly to you tube or recording locally and uploading. I haven't used the BRIO but have reviewed its specs. High resolution 4k streaming direct to you tube will require substantially greater bandwidth than 1920x1080 video. The camera's other bragging points are wider field of vision (not important for talking head training vids.) Correction for extreme lighting conditions (which could be nice if it did not result in constant adjustment blips like that of auto focus.I would only look to that camera over, say the 920, would be if I were recording locally and uploading the 4k video afterwards. That would give viewers with sufficient bandwidth the option to view in 4K. My gut says, not important enough. 1920x1080 is quality video without the demand for excessive bandwidth up or down. My 2 cents!
