I have no experience with YT live stream Mari-Lyn Harris . I switched to Zoom before live stream became a thing. Other members have and I'm sure they will weigh in. :)
Mari-Lyn Harris I have used both and could use either one and actually plan to for different reasons, I like YouTube Live because of you can record directly to it without worrying about uploading it. I also record the Live version to an external hard drive using OBS. With ZOOM I think the video quality is better but you do have limitations and time constraints unless you pay for the premium which could be 14.95 to 55.00 per month depending on your needs At this point I am still under the free account but only get 40 minutes of time and you don't need OBS. However, I would recommend using OBS as the options are much more than what ZOOM offers. It really depends on what your goals are. YouTube Live is much easier to use than what it use to be in my opinion but I still use an encoder with it (OBS) You can find many YouTube tutorials on both platforms including OBS and we also have many discussions about all three in weekly meetings on User2User
Sheila Hensley Black Bottom Pie is like this I made chocolate cookie crust, agave, dark choc shaved, almonds, espresso coffee, baked. Then could add choc pudding or chocolate whipped cream on top. Chocolate Decadence is what I called it
Sheila Hensley easy recipe, it’s basically a custard cream pie. (Which I can’t sell under my license no dairy products) can adapt it. I guess that’s why Jello came out with pudding mixes.
Craig Long I don't see 4K 60fps settings for YouTube Live I think this is beyond the (allowable) uploadable format However you can record at that and set it to 1080p 60fps in OBS settings

Of course what a camera capture maybe recording at 4K but is not streaming at such high resolution (see above) as it would kill your bandwidth at the server. You need at least a prosumer type video camera to produce a 4K HD quality recording which is then brought down to whatever your encoder is set to. Most streaming companies don't allow or cannot handle a "real" 4K HD upload However the beauty of the 4K recording can still be seen as such You're connection speed is 47604 Kbps which hard on the bandwidth and I'll bet your CPU is around 70% depending on what kind of processor and memory your running (Mine is an I7) so as to protect my system and keep it from overheating I record to an external hard drive. What YouTube allows and what is actually uploaded is a huge difference and why you need an encoder This video is 854 X 480@10fps but you are seeing it in High Definition which is of the ultimate detail but it is not streaming at 4K. It can be confusing if not explained thoroughly and this is the way I understand it. With ZOOM they have their own encoding at the front door which is why you don't necessarily need OBS, however, to get all the features that OBS has to offer is why I use it even with ZOOM. You may want to upgrade your OBS to the OBS20 it's awesome I love the picture quality in your video
Mari-Lyn Harris Just type it in Google search and go to the website it's open source just like Wordpress and is free to use They have it for Mac and windows just make sure you download the right one. It does have a learning curve but there are a ton of videos and workshops on YouTube Andrew Hatchett of the User2User group. i think this one of the main topics we talk about on ZOOM
I just finally found it, and I would have to build it on my MAC. It's not just an install and learn it. I'm going to pass on this for right now. Thank you all!
Mari-Lyn Harris I think you can get an app for your tool bar that will let you share FB videos and/or posts to Google+ I just sent one over to User2User from your FB page
Mari-Lyn Harris It's a Chrome Extension I found as I was tired of having to use Buffer and Onlywire all the time "Share on Google Plus" is the name of the extension

ReplyDeleteThe requirements for using it are way too high for me

ReplyDeleteThanks Art
ReplyDeleteMari-Lyn Harris As soon as I get back in the saddle I'll be getting some of those pies The recipes alone make my mouth water
ReplyDeleteOh Mari-Lyn Harris that sounds wonderful! It has rum some where in the pie. I believe in the pudding layer. Andrew Hatchett is that correct?
ReplyDeleteSheila Hensley
ReplyDeleteIt has been years but I think that's right. My great aunt used to make something similar but used a bit Amaretto in the whipped cream.
And well she should have Andrew Hatchett Answer to the question-what could make it better :o
ReplyDeleteSheila Hensley I used Kahlua.. could use rum or Amaretto.
ReplyDeleteCraig Long I did a hangout with someone from Google today and between the two of us we couldn't connect. so much to look at the quality.
ReplyDeleteAndrew Hatchett it could be right. It's either in the pudding or whipped cream.
ReplyDeleteCraig Long Yes you'all are my hero's, I get so frustrated sometimes

ReplyDeleteI'm going to try it Mari-Lyn Harris I'm challenged now. :)
ReplyDeleteWill let you know how it turns out. 🙂
