  1. I'd be interested in where you heard that Lowell Ann Fuglsang. I read 70+ communities that mostly deal with things Google and haven't heard a word.

  2. Someone asked me to be a guest on her show to discuss it. She is not sure where she got it.

  3. In that case I wouldn't worry about it. Drive is a major part of Google's paid Apps for Work and I can't see it going away any time soon.

  4. Andrew Hatchett - I can't imagine Google Drive going away, because if they were to do that, All of the other Google, online product, would go away. Slides, Sheets, Docs. Paid, Free, can't imagine it going away. Certanily would like to hear more, Lowell Ann Fuglsang if you find more about this. Thanks

  5. Russ Worthington My thought exactly. Unless the plan is to keep each of those apps as separate entities - going Mobile they work best that way.

  6. Lowell Ann Fuglsang Hello LA. Google Drive Apps are getting even better in their mobile user interface. For example next time you may need to update a Google Sheet; try doing so from your smartphone. It's become much more easy to navigate and work with formulas. I'd suggest Google Google Drive will remain as a Suite. Both on computers and mobile devices.

  7. I'm always curious where people hear these rumors. Google Drive is not only Docs and Sheets, it's also Google's cloud storage service, so even if Docs is separate, Drive needs to be there for all your other uploaded files.

  8. Google's tendency is to "integrate" so that the need for one thing is best facilitated by the required environment. In this case the huge environment is the Internet... then the cloud as a concept... then Google Drive. Everything Google promotes is best a subset of Drive. All part of the bigger plan.

  9. Yeah I've heard rumors about Google Drive and Hangouts on Air going away. I wonder how rumors like that get started?
But the bottom line is it's all just a rumor until you hear a definite answer from Google.
