Is there anybody who can answer this YouTube-related question?

Is there anybody who can answer this YouTube-related question?

I'm assisting a client by uploading a video for her.

How do I switch out of my account and sign into my client's business account? I signed out of my YouTube account, and then opened a tab and went to YouTube. Then I clicked on Sign in and I attempted to sign in using her business email address but I get a message saying that Google does not recognize that email address and asking if I want to create an account using that email address.  What do you suggest?

  1. Andrea Amador that sounds like you did not enter the correct email username. You may need to confirm with your client that you have the correct one.

As an alternative, if their YouTube channel is on a Brand Account Google+ Page, they could temporarily make you a manager of the channel/Page. Once they do that, you can just switch to that channel identity by clicking your channel icon at top right, or by going to "All My Channels" (www.youtube.com/channel_switcher)

But if you are just going to sign in to your client's account directly, I also recommend you first sign out of your own account, or only sign in to their account in an Incognito or private browsing window. That can help prevent accidentally uploading or acting as one of your own channels.

  2. Peggy K Thank you so much. It was the incognito window that made the difference. I'm in!
