Thank you for explaining Manycam. I have bought and installed it - and went into massive problems. There was no way to switch it off until I uninstalled it again, I heard that it does these things on Macs. I also wrote to support but didn't get an answer.
I would need a possibility to insert intro and outro in my upcoming show. Manually with screen share and Qicktime player it looks and sounds not really good. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you. Heidi
Adelheid Hörnlein did you purchase Manycam recently? When you say "switch it off" is that in Hangouts? Or are you trying to actually remove the camera? What specifically are you turning off?
ReplyDeleteI will say this, while Manycam is an inexpensive one time purchase, it is limited in it's performance.
Feel free to sign up for the Event and you can watch it later.
Also, if you register for the event and get a confirmation email, you can put the Event on your calendar. Then if you want to go back in a month and watch you can search your calendar for Manycam and watch it!
ReplyDeleteI had the manycam avatar in an hangout visible to the others, all the commands didn't work, for instance switch to the 920 camera, I couldn't remove it either. Somehow I managed - 2 minutes before the start, by finding the program in the application folder - to get myself on the screen, but the pic was slightly distorted. All the functions in display were inactive, manycam imposed itself on my computer. Since I have uninstalled it, I can do hangouts normally, but I would need the function for playing the intro/outro. I have bought it about 2-3 weeks ago.

ReplyDeleteHi Michael Daniels I finally have done some trials again with Manycam. It is a real disaster. I have emptied my computer, only very few things open. The video of the trailers is interrupted, the video of us persons is enlarged. And before being able to start the hangout it kicked me off several times, because of "server problems" - only strange that they happen only in the moment when I try to use manycam.
ReplyDeleteMY show will be in less than 3 weeks and I fear i cannot use the material I ahve prepared for it. Is there any other solutions for Into/outro and recorded videos to be in an HOA?
