Ever wanted a G+ DVR
Here is a cool trick to do just that. I show in this Video a way to create a community for yourself and have it act as your DVR!
Hope you like it!

Neat tips Michael Daniels Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGreat way to bookmark G+ stuff. Thanks Michael
ReplyDeleteMichael Daniels can you add a catagory on the fly or do you have to go to your private community to add it
ReplyDeleteYou have to click the cog wheel. ... get into settings and change it. ... then click done
ReplyDeleteVery timely! I've been struggling to keep up with interesting posts and had been sharing to myself but this is MUCH better. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou bet Lon McClure
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Now that's how it's done. Shared. This one is now in first place as your best Michael Daniels
ReplyDeleteSheila Hensley you are always so kind to me. Thank you
ReplyDeleteI deny that! Sometimes I take your head off, but credit where credit is due my friend. This one is great. If I didn't know Ronnie Bincer was on the road, I'd ping him. It's that good. ( Stop it, I know I just pinged Ronnie )
ReplyDeleteSheila Hensley Michael has really pointed out a great way to use private communities. His tutorial has taught me how to leave notes when I originally share it. And that is got me thinking that I can leave comments on my own community post as to any further information about the post topic. Michael is the man!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right Mark Barrus "the man". I don't think he realizes how effective he is offering us these tutorials. Someone should tell him. :))
ReplyDeleteSheila Hensley there was a glaring need to be able to bookmark a cool post. But we should call Michael's approach, "Better Bookmarking", because of the categories and notes we can apply. It's got me thinking that this might also be a great way to draft public posts, but I'm not sure.
ReplyDeleteMark Barrus It is indeed great for drafting posts. I just copy/past the previous version as a comment to the original post and start it with _Revision No. _ _ so I have copies of all previous revision
ReplyDeleteThanks Andrew Hatchett BTW, Your comment/mention did not show up in my notifications. May be a glitch
ReplyDeleteGreat way to keep track of the stuff you can't always get to right at the moment!!
ReplyDeleteMichael Daniels Another thing I've done, is actually create an empty "Bookmarks" circle, and share to it. It serves the same purpose. :)

ReplyDeleteThank you!
I used to save to a circle and use specific unique hashtag as well. All good tools but I have found this to be the best way to see them all in one place and add comments.
Michael Daniels Ooooo the hashtag idea is wonderful! I never thought of that. You could use different hashtags to categorize your stuff!!
ReplyDeleteValuable info Michael Daniels, Thank you!!
