Thanks Sheila Hensley !
ReplyDeleteYes animated gifs can cause seizures for some, especially those with epilepsy. roxanne davenport is a huge advocate on this subject. Thanks Sheila Hensley
ReplyDeleteI don't mind receiving animated gifs in my stream and will generally click on them if they load fast enough. All that been said I do not post them since being reminded by Sheila Hensley of their adverse effects on people with epilepsy and other related conditions. I don't want to adversely effect anyone and since we can not tell who that person might be why take the chance. Not preaching, (that's the other Billy Graham) just saying.
ReplyDeleteMichele De Socio so has Sheila Hensley been a great advocate, and the inspiration for TheCircadians to rethink their use of animated gifs. Wonder if Sheila influenced this as well?
ReplyDeleteMost welcome Andrew Hatchett and Michele De Socio.
ReplyDeleteI just mentioned it Bill Graham then roxanne davenport had the power and knowledge to convince the group it was not a good thing for others. I do love it when you preach Bill. :))
Always wondered why GIFS irritated me so. Roxanne explained it so I felt justified and better about why. :)
I doubt I had any influence on Google but if Search comes back to Communities, I'll take some credit as I send feedback regularly about that. :D
Thanks so much Sheila Hensley for posting the info!!! You're great! Along with the Circadians.
ReplyDeleteAll you great folks Sheila Hensley Bill Graham and Circadians were very helpful in my decision to not support animated Gifs. They don't bother me but if it hurts one person I don't want any part of it.
