  5. I guess it means person to person instead of person to Google then to person.  Cutting out the middleman, sort of.

  6. Correct Craig Long. Once the end points are known, the middleman (Google in this case) drops out and they are directly connected.

  8. It's also possible that Google will allow initial direct connection (no middleman involved at all) if endpoint details are known in advance by one or both endpoints.
