Now if this is true that you can get your live stream comments after the show.
Now if this is true that you can get your live stream comments after the show....... I think folks might just be interested in this.
Keep in mind I have not looked at this to see that that is the case.

Yeah, I'm not sure if live comments are included or not. My guess would be not, since they disappear after the broadcast anyway. Give it a try!
ReplyDeletePeggy K I'll have to test to be sure but I think you are correct. In this particular case it seems that Google is very precise in their language use (Live Chat vs. Comments) - which isn't always the case. :)
ReplyDeleteJust did a short test Peggy K and Andrew Hatchett. I did two quick events. Comments in "live chat" did disappear about 15 minutes after both events. Comments at the bottom were not available prior to or during either event but activated shortly after the broadcast ended.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill Graham for the info.
ReplyDeleteFollowing the "comment_history" link in the post showed my "MY" (personal, by me) comments associated with all my YT videos. No comments from users other than myself were displayed. i haven't done any other testing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the testing everyone. This confirms my thoughts. YTL live event chat stream still has very limited value for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Peggy K! It would be great if live chat comments were also saved. So often during long "tutorial" type videos, a presenter makes a comment that it ambiguous. Someone watching might ask for clarification and often another viewer will answer within the live chat. Such clarifications are valuable. It is a shame to "throw them away."
ReplyDeleteJohn Brown I'm with you! Maybe - if enough FeedBack is left - YT might eventually implement this. :)
