Nice to have power back after almost four days in the dark! Power came back on late Saturday night so catching up on chores that we use power to accomplish and stowing the emergency gear so that it is ready for next time. Good to be back!
Glad you are back, and safe & sound Lon McClure. I can relate to long power outages after storms. They are hard on the eyes. Not because of the darkness, but they (my eyes) do get strained watching and waiting for those little lights on my modem to start flickering again. lol.
Heat and refrigeration where my primary concerns. Managed both with a small generator. I had to hard wire the furnace but only had to plug/unplug the fridge as needed. Running both at the same time was possible but taxed the generator greatly so avoided that scenario when possible. A couple of lamps and the phone chargers rounded out our cadre of must-haves.
Glad to have you back Lon McClure. 4 days without internet and I'd be in a straightjacket!
