Do you use i-phone or Android? Or even maybe Windows phone?
If you want to comment about why you like one over the other, please do so in the comments (you may not know any different). Sorry forgot folks that don't have a phone
I prefer Android as they are cheaper and work just as well if not better. They have more apps than ios. I have a cheap samsung phone with an octa core processor and it works real fast and does all the things i need to do with it so i'm happy with it.
I started with Blackberry then Palm OS then iOS. All provided through work. Right now, I'm kind of locked in to iPhone because I've had one for so long and have a lot invested in apps (time and $$$). However, most of those apps were for professional use. Now that I'm "retired", many of them are no longer useful to me. Since the rollout of the Google phone, I've been reconsidering what my next phone will be. That's a year and a half from now so Google will have plenty of time to get their product wrung out. Most of my personal stuff is done on Google Apps as are my non-profit support duties. I actually cancelled the auto-renew to my Office 365 subscription a couple of weeks ago so going with Android next time around is almost a given unless Google somehow self-destructs before then.
Lon McClure, "...I'm kind of locked in to iPhone.." is the exact reason I'm an Android advocate. Apple makes great products but not as great as the price would suggest.
My last phone was android, It was great for what I did but I never had an iphone so I can't compare. I lost it though, so now I am with Andrew Hatchett. I bought a flip up for Belize and only go online with a "real computer".
John Brown Apple's customer service is interesting. When my son's iPad needed rebooting, I called them and they actually said, " Would you like to hire a 'Genius' for $30 per hour"
These are great responses. Thank you folks for giving your responses. i love hearing our community giving this great feedback, especially for folks possibly getting Christmas gifts for others. Ileane Smith I love it! Never thought about adding 2 of them. For sure you should be able to give a great review of the differences and similarities.
You forgot "None of the above" ;)

ReplyDeleteAndroid, although I've never even fiddled around with an iPhone, surprisingly.
