Your Brand & G+: Using Communities to Promote, Engage, and Influence “Pt. 4 Let the people speak for you"
Our discussions of your brand and Google+, to this point, have centered on the many ways you can benefit from the creation, curation, and engagement in your brand’s Google+ Communities. We’ve looked at user-generated content (UGC) and data mining already, and this week we’re going to focus a bit more on those two points with a specific goal in mind – testimonials.
When you create your brand’s Google+ Communities, you’re opening spaces where your customers and fans can share content specific to your goods and services. Word-of-mouth advertising is great, but if you look a little closer you’ll see that everything posted in your Community is yours to use as you see fit across platforms.
There is no denying the power of positive reviews and glowing testimonials. They add credibility to your brand for one simple reason – people value other people’s opinions far more than any marketing material you can dream up. So, pay close attention to the comments and sentiments you find in your Communities. You never know when a post, comment, or anecdote may be the centerpiece of your next marketing effort!
