Finished our first scheduled HOA event last night. Went well but we were told to expect about a 7 second delay from hitting the broadcast button to the show actually starting. On the replay of the Google Hangout I noticed that there is now an "uncomfortable" time with us doing nothing but whispering back and forth to each other until we thought we were live.
Since YouTube won't let me edit an HOA on YouTube, I downloaded the video and trimmed the first few seconds and the replay looks good now.
QUESTIONS: Will the edited version be assigned a new URL and will that new URL be just as valid once we swap out the videos? And, do we just delete the original video?
P.S. Rayne Dowell gave us excellent advice today on this but Leila is scared to death to change anything for fear of screwing up our first HOA. I've done everything Rayne said and am ready to upload the edited version, finish this and get it off my plate! :-)

A big round of applause to Michael Daniels for clearing out my head on screen sharing Google presentations on HOA's.
A big round of applause to Michael Daniels for clearing out my head on screen sharing Google presentations on HOA's. I almost had it right but was stumped with frustration. Andrew Hatchett was there to lend his support too.
Being a part of U2U is like living in a small town (community) in that when there's an emergency (my HOA issue) it's like ringing the church bell -- everyone comes running to help in any way they can!
Hats off to Bill Graham too as a first responder! And Rayne Dowell and John Jurkiewicz --- there's a ton of experience here and I'm proud to be a part of this great community. I will no doubt have more questions as I try and perfect my process. I always know where to go for what I need!
Oh yea, thank you Leila Martin for introducing me to U2U in the first place! Whew, that was a close one! :-) She's my wife!
Thanks!

I wanted to give a shout out to Bill Graham for the late Sunday assist on screen sharing.
I wanted to give a shout out to Bill Graham for the late Sunday assist on screen sharing. He was able to clear things up to a point and for that I am truly appreciative; however, we both are stumped on screen sharing a google drive presentation (like powerpoint). I can bring it into screen share but can't move from slide to slide.
I think it has something to do with settings before I bring it into screen share that makes it functional.
Anyone have a clue?

What's the best way to begin screen sharing pics, word docs on an HOA?
What's the best way to begin screen sharing pics, word docs on an HOA? From Google Drive? Should I have them as separate docs in "My Drive?" or can I pull them from a Folder in "My Drive?"
Anyone have a moment to answer half dozen questions on screen sharing on HOA's?
Anyone have a moment to answer half dozen questions on screen sharing on HOA's? Didn't know if Andrew Hatchett or Michael Daniels or anyone fluent in the screen share process had a few minutes.
Thanks!
Thanks!

What's the easiest way to get someone in a Hangout started on the YouTube side "if" they don't have a gmail account?
I'm afraid they may not want to go to the trouble to set up a profile.
Thanks for any feedback!

Andrew Hatchett I just posted a "help question" under General Discussion to try and get some help on Youtube video editing. Is this the best place to post that?
Help with Youtube video editing.
Help with Youtube video editing.
I'm trying to add an already formatted png or jepeg to the end of my video.
I've typically gone to Upload > video editor > drag video into the timeline > then go to "camera" to upload slide with ending credits.
Is this correct?
Does it create a new URL when I create a new video?
It worked 2 weeks ago but apparently doesn't work now.
Or, do I add it under edit where I add my annotations?

Andrew Hatchett Michael Daniels Hey U2U Gurus, here's a fundamental question about Lower Thirds and Overlays:
"I was hoping that, for branding purposes, there was a way to have my Lower Third on my overlays (talking points that show top left of video) without re-creating my lower Third for each new talking point overlay." I currently use picmonkey for lower thirds. Is it possible to re-edit master lower thirds to add fresh talking points? Suggestions?.

Andrew Hatchett and Michael Daniels Thought I had my PC squared away but testing today reveiled I can't initiate a hangout. I have uninstalled/reinstalled Chrome and (thinking my hangout app was removed during the recent clean up) reinstalled my google handout app..
I still cannot start/initiate a Google Hangout either way (Google side or through YouTube.}
QUESTION: Do you have any ideas what to check next? Leila initiated a hangout and I could join in but I can't initiate from my end???

Thanks so much for inviting me in.
Thanks so much for inviting me in. I learned about +User2user-Live through my wife Leila Martin. I am a 30 year dog trainer fixing dog behavior problems in the home. I am using HOA's to help people solve their dog behavior problems in Houston and out of town or out of state. I also use HOA's to do the academic part of teaching people to become dog trainers. I would like to "hone my skills" with Google+ hangouts on air and look at even more ways to incorporate it in my business. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
