Hello There User2User community, I am now banking longer interviews to edit and launch a  life/career channel this summer so I don't always want to share to a wide audience and if this is the case - can I simply make the audience my other page instead of the public and will it still go to you tube if I do this?

Hello User2UserLive I have a question: I need to feel a little clearer when I want to promote an interview if I should do the following: create an event and share with public  and then plan a hangout too which gets shared with public as well. Does that mean people get two notices? Basically,  what is the difference between creating an event and planning a hangout in terms of promoting an interview you are going to do. Is it too much to do both? I don't want to bombard people with notices of an upcoming interview. I just want to sometimes give notice ahead of time and wasn't sure if I just did 'plan hangout' or if I should create an event too. Any feedback is appreciated.

Hello Everyone, A person I am going to interview set up a google profile page but I cannot connect to it for some reason.As long as I have her email can I connect to her and invite her in that way? Hello User2User Community! Hope 2016 is off to a great start. Thank you for this wonderful resource!!!I have two questions: 1) I have  a new interview coming up and she has three google plus pages. I connected to one page via circles but want to know if her having other pages would be a problem for the interview? Also, I have been told people just need a gmail not a google plus page to do an interview but want to make sure this is true.

HI Everyone. I usually do google plus hangout live interviews on my iMac and i switched to my laptop and did test call tonight and had terrible reverberation - can anyone advise? I also got new microphone but took it off to just do via computer so not sure that it's that either. thanks in advance.

What should I do with that page - should I keep it up and call her again tomorrow which we have rescheduled or delete my created hangoutonair and change date/time. Thank you!

I have created a short page description for those joining a google plus hangout video call for a live interview for the first time. I am sharing to have feedback on so it makes it as simple and clear as possible for those being interviewed:

The Steps to Take to Join A Google Plus Hangout Video Call

Check your system
Before you can broadcast Hangouts On Air:
• Check that your browser, operating system, processor, and bandwidth meet the system requirements. (see below at bottom of page for details)

Download and install the latest version of the Hangouts plugin: 
• https://tools.google.com/dlpage/hangoutplugin

• Check that your webcam drivers are up to date and that your webcam is working.

• Connect your headphones to your device. Headphones with a built-in microphone will dramatically improve your video-call experience. (this is if you have them)

Join Hangouts On Air
If you're invited to participate in a Hangout On Air, you can join the broadcast in a few different ways:
• On mobile: From the Hangout On Air video call notification, click the video icon  , or click the phone icon   to answer with just a voice call.
• On desktop: From the Hangout On Air video call notification, click Join video call.
•
Note: If the person inviting you to the Hangout On Air isn’t in your Google+ circles, the video call notification will be in your list of Hangouts invites. From your Hangouts window, click the menu  , and then click Invites.

Here are buttons you will be asked to click when you join the call:

1) Join Hangout button - click on it

2) A new white box comes up with written material and you press on box that says I have read and accepted terms   I agree box - click on it

3) Click on Okay, got it! below box

4) Another screen comes up. Click on green box that says Join

I have another question about taping my first private event, as I usually do public but, after great advice from user group,  I want to make it private so I  can use it write a blog around it and then share it. My question is if I do a private or unlisted event, does it still go to you tube and can I still access it like I normally do with my public hangouts. Thanks in advance!

Hello supportive user2user community and I must thank the helpful Michael Daniels for his fantastic tutorial - I still have to watch part 2 and am open to being a guinea pig anytime:) and Andrew Hatchett for always being available to answer questions. Here is mine for today - I had set up an interview on google plus hangouts yesterday and I pressed start and then called my contact but she could not pick up on her end. I went to call again and could not call her without deleting my google plus event and starting again so I must be doing something wrong - I had even sent her link on top of the page as Michael Daniels had shared in his tutorial so my question is: Once you create an event and press start button to call someone - and they can't answer - how do I do it again without having to delete my event and then  having to create it again and send out again. I am missing some step.

I am delighted to be a new member of this group and I have my first question. Before I set up an interview for my life/career corner, I used to post the event and then post the interview I was about to do the day of the interview, so that meant two notices,  but I worried I was bombarding people with posts about my interviews instead of just providing useful information. What is this group's professional opinion? I went to do a hangouts on air last week and one person wrote that they wanted more advance notice than 10 minutes before an event so not sure what is best policy.
