Sustainable Sustainability

The example: VillageLab
We begin to understand that our way of living is not sustainable. The cities are overcrowded and suffocate in trash and poisoned air, the country is either abandoned or destroyed by monoculture and chemical poisonous products. Our health deteriorates more and more by the very way we are choosing to live.
What alternative is there? Many people have tried different ways to live sustainably by moving out and growing their food themselves, by using alternative methods for energy production - working very hard and feeling unsupported. So what about these efforts could be coordinated in collaboration within a community?
In today’s episode experts in this field Ferananda Ibarra and Jeff Clearwater will tell you about their project called VILLAGE LAB. They are operating on the cutting edge of consciousness including the integral map ( INTEGRAL THEORY by Ken Wilber) in their tool kit.
VillageLab is based on the premise that the existing and emerging sustainable and regenerative communities movements represent one of the greatest sources of wealth on the Planet.
A distributed innovation laboratory and incubator. VillageLab supports and develops projects generating leading-edge knowledge, practices and tools in all aspects of sustainable and regenerative living.

About Mark Davenport
I am an American Midwesterner with a BA, a BE - and an MA in Italian Literature from the University of Wisconsin (1969) which accounts for my background in teaching and interest in education. A later interest in addictions accounts for my years of alcohol and drug counseling and shows my career directions moving into ever more “inside” directions. Meeting the work of Ken Wilber, Don Beck and several others launched my efforts into “deeper inside” directions in more recent years. Then my association with Heidi eventually led me to move to Italy and to Paradiso Integrale where we work on +THE WISDOM FACTORY and PARADISO INTEGRALE together. I have a special interest in men’s issues in contemporary life as well as gender issues in general.
