Is there any way to have a HOA "pause" and continue the next day or a week later?

Is there any way to have a HOA "pause" and continue the next day or a week later? Kind of a never-ending story with "chapters" vs separate showtimes. I know I can do separate HOAs then download and splice from YouTube then upload back to YouTube but I'd like to avoid that. Pretty certain this is not possible but thought I'd ask here in case someone had definite answer. If not in HOA what about BHOA?

  1. Nope, there is no pause button!
The longest a hangout can be recorded is 8 hours.

  2. I guess download & splice is the way to go then :(

Have you thought about handling your subject a different way.

Ronnie Bincer has done a number of HOA's in a day. Group them together on an Event Page for that day, with links to the piece parts (chapters as you called the)

I have done the same thing. Day 1 --- list of HOA's. Like Ronnie's, ours were 3-5 minute interviews at a conference. Grouped them in an Event for and in our community.

    Remember the 8 hour rule.

In fact, we did a 24 Hour HOA. we did it in 4 chunks. We had a 24 hour HOA, just ended one and started the next. The Host and Co-Host were up for the full 24 hours.

Taking that one step further, for your example is to create a PlayList on YouTube for the Full Story.

  4. How about a method to "serialize" a series of HOA so that you always have the same title but with a different chapter number? Is there a template plugin or similar that would help me be consistent for this project? Manually  setting up each show to match the last in the series seems so 90's.

  5. Great suggestions, Russ Worthington . Is that conference interview Event available to me to have a look at?

It's in a private community. [ DearMYRTLE's Genealogy Community). We called the series Myrt's AmbushCAM.

It's just a slightly different way of doing what Ronnie Bincer is in the SXSW series.

YOU control the "serialize" the series in the HOA Title. In fact, once we got into the swing of things, on our series, we started to do that.
