It is taking MONTHS to get my Business Hangout account removed.

It is taking MONTHS to get my Business Hangout account removed. Many emails back and forth, each trying to keep me subscribed, each time responding Not Interested.

Business Hangouts WAS a good service at the time, but once in, you can't get out.

Very disappointed.

After 8 years of helping you make amazing videos we have decided to close down the service on August 31, 2018.
What does this mean?

The service is now closed to new users.
For existing users (non subscribers), the service will remain available until August 31. 2018.
For subscribers, your current subscription will be unaffected and the service will be made available to you free of charge from the end of your current month/year (as applicable) subscription term through to August 31, 2018.

After August 31, 2018 the service will be shut down and you will not be able to access the service or any of your media stored on the service.
We therefore suggest that you migrate any of you media before that date to avoid losing it."

FYI - for Business Hangouts On Air subscribers. It worked as expected. Since we had been starting our HOA's from YouTube, before BHOA, it was like riding a bicycle.

An observation: With the move to much of what we do or have done to YouTube, I have an observation about Comments when Doing a Live Stream on YouTube.

I subscribe to a number of folks on their YouTube Channel. I get an alert when they start a Live Stream. My alert takes me to the YouTube side, which is fine.

BUT, several of the recent Live Streams have had Comments turned ON but the host is NOT watching the comments.

If you are doing a Live Stream (and I may not be using the correct term here), be aware that while you are live and you have comments ON, you might consider watching for those comments. OR Turn the comments OFF, or even better "point" to where you want your YouTube Viewer to make those comments.

I am about to unsubscribe to a couple of folks because they open comments and don't watch for them.

Lower Third not showing? Check this!

Some of you may have noticed issues with any overlay not showing recently. This is caused by a bug with Hangouts which is currently being investigated. In the meantime you can use this workaround.

Start your Hangout using https://talkgadget.google.com/hangouts/_/ which will make the overlays including lower thirds work again.

As you can see below it works just fine. And yes, this is the material design version I am still working on.........if I have time, that is.

Now that we have Collections, I have a question for this community.

Now that we have Collections, I have a question for this community. 

IF Collections allows users to categorize their content as per topics and it allows their followers to choose which content they would like to see and visit, as I understand it:

What if the Content Provider has a Community ?

I can see those who rely on Circles or do not have Communities, that Collections might be very helpful.

Any Thoughts?

Looking for a solution: We have had three HOAs, where one or two people, on the Panel (in the Filmstrip) could NOT...

Looking for a solution: We have had three HOAs, where one or two people, on the Panel (in the Filmstrip) could NOT hear another panelist. Totally Weird. The solution was to REFRESH the browser.

Also, twice, my lower 3rd would not show up, even when it was turned on. The Beta Comment Tracker comments wouldn't show up either. Again, REFRESH resolved this.

Any clues ? or is anyone else having these issues? Browser, not platform (Mac / PC) didn't matter. One person in our community suggested an update to Chrome, but we had other browsers with the sound issue.
