I've been kind of scarce of late. We've had a shortage of assistants at the training hill so I've been out there every day for the past week. Great crop of students this year. Really gung-ho! Here are three of them...

Hi Lon McClure, those are fun to watch. Years ago when we lived in the low foothills in La Crescenta, California, there were groups of hang gliders who flew overhead and landed in the nearby school yard.
ReplyDeleteI had wanted to hang glide since the first time I saw one in Popular Science magazine, Barbara Quick . When I was finally able to realize that dream in 2005, I also made a personal vow to help others do the same. For those that have the flying bug, there is nothing like seeing the smiles after that first controlled flight from the top of the training hill.
ReplyDeleteThis hill is great for training, Rayne Dowell . It actually has four slopes that cover wind directions from West to North to East. The gentle slopes near the bottom allow us gradually move them up the hill as their skills improve.
