Just a suggestion for your YouTube channel:

Just a suggestion for your YouTube channel:
I changed my YouTube brand channel name to a name that better describes what my channel is all about and the traffic increased tremendously overnight. I picked up several subscribers. They must have seen my channel name are were interested. So I suggest you don't use your name alone in a YouTube brand channel name.

If you move your regular channel to a brand account through a G+ Page you can keep all your subscribers and videos from your regular channel. I'm not sure how we will be able to do this after April.
Peggy K did I get this right?

  1. Ros Boundy I'm doing some video remixes of other copyright holder's content with their permission. I can't monetize copyrighted material however. I used the words "Video Remixes" in my YouTube brand channel name. YouTube Music contains a lot of remixes from YouTubers, some bad and some good.

  6. Craig Long Arthur Morehead name changes are limited, but once you've made your last name change "for a while" you should be able to change the name again after 90 days.
