I am not sure about Ipad's I know my Android phone can come into a hangout on air no problem. It just cannot start one. I have no idea about webinarjam, but I know about Business Hangouts and you can log into it, but you cannot be a participant.
Hope this helps some. Anyone else that has an ipad, please chime in!
Nina Amir Business Hangouts is not part of Webinarjam (WJ) it is a separate app inside an HOA. These apps run only inside an HOA and are subject to Googles technical limits inside HOA's. In order to be a co-presenter with WJ they must have a gmail address to be sent a notification. (I believe you can still invite co-presenters from inside the WJ hangout when you are inside - again they need a Google account) As for mobile devices and HOA's Google recently did some updates for Hangouts to work better in them, but in my opinion the video quality is still terrible due to the limits of the mobile devices processing power. Internal cameras and audio signals must be processed at the same time as all other process inside the device as well as the upload speed of the wireless connection can cause poor quality and out of sync video.
Yes Nina Amir you can invite them from inside the HOA, from the top of the screen, the icon of the guy with a + There you can invite someone from an iPad or any mobile device, no matter what tool you use. The "collaboration" mode is specific to Business Hangouts. It'a a mode in opposition to "presentation". One helps the host to impose whatever he/she views to all viewers, the other let's Hangouts catch the audio of whoever talks. Presentation mode is recommended for presentations obviously, while collaboration mode is recommended for Q&As and panel discussions.
