Gary Whalen One mike was built into the Pixel2, another built into the headset, and the third was built into the LogitechC920 Webcam so there really weren't any visible mikes except the one on the headset.
For me, I like the clarity and volume with the Pixel2 the best. Next best was the LogitechC920. I agree with richard clarkson about there being a lot less volume with the headset mike.
Andrew Hatchett audio has been the bane of hangouts experience. I have tried many options. I heard an awful lot of static when viewing this video ( from the c920, I think).
A good tip is to tap the actual Mike you think your using, (just to make sure that's the Mike actually being used).
Also the quality of the audio received can very much depend on the setup of the receiver.
IMHO the first audio on this video was the best. I viewed it on my iPad. John.
Volume changed but I turned my speaker up from time to time. At no time could I view any microphone, however.
