2  QUESTIONS: 
1) My private HO partner was unable to use the G Toolbox or other apps. He got this message: "This app requires features of Google+ Hangouts that your computer and browser don't support." He was using a PC with an OS XP Windows and using Chrome ver 36.

2) When I added 2 new apps to my collection (G effects and Remote Desktop), an audio delay/echo started that I could only eliminate by having first him and then I leave and return to the HO. Thoughts?

Hey User2User Members - I have looked around the info and there is a massive amount.  I'm hoping for a short cut to my issues.

Issue 1:  Clarity of picture and Issue 2:  Voice to lip lag

I currently use the Logitech C920 and I try to get all others that I interview to use it as well.

I just don't feel they are professional enough as I am interviewing physicians and I want them to utilize the interview on their website.

Hello everyone.

Hello everyone.  New Community member here.  I've been on Google+ since the very early days though for a long time didn't do much with it until Communities came along.  I've been a co-moderator of a community on G+ for over a year now and have been a participant in many a hangout on air, though probably the one who says the least on them :-)

Lately, my group has been looking into building ourselves into a viable brand in our little corner of G+ and I've taken it upon myself to take on a sort of producer and technical role on our HoA.  But, since I've yet to handle any of the technical aspects I've been searching around online, expanding outside my own little G+ corner to see how HoA are run and to begin actually engaging with people a lot more.  Via a roundabout path through the inter-connectivity of G+, and at the prompting of Rayne Dowell, I've come here to learn and to share as I can.

Sometimes I just have to laugh at myself. While learning I almost always wind up "running in circles". Please instruct on how I can delete an event I created. History: I created an EVENT for my charities program POWER HOUR. After creation I realized it was not a hang out( or created to be a hang out) so I created a HANG OUT. Now I have two identical events ( Event and Hang Out)  Primary concern is people invited get multiple invitations which promotes confusion and make me look unprofessional ( in this are I AM unprofessional, but learning). Secondary is to increase my knowledge so that I may better serve through National Seizure Disorders Foundation. I am confident the answers will come from this community. I wish to host 1 Power Hour Hang Out a week so the information will be used wisely.

Hello All. I have been on Google+ from the start and using hangouts and hangouts on air with a few groups/communities. Love the ability to use HOAs and YouTube.

Today there was a discussion about hangouts versus other systems (like Go To Webinar) we have used ourselves or been attendees. I mentioned that if Google upped its game a bit they could beat GTW or GTM and a member of this community Andrew Hatchett gave me a gentle nudge about BHOA.

Thanks for the wake up call and now to check out what this is all about. Thanks so much as this might be the answer for 2 of the groups to which I belong. I am sure I will have questions once I have read through and watched everything here.

Hi everyone! It's an honor to be accepted among the affluent here:) I am very new to Hang Outs and have questions. First, I will give you an overview of why I choose Hang Outs and why I requested to join U2U.

I am the Founder and President of a nationally known charity by the name of National Seizure Disorders Foundation. For those interested in what we do, please let me know through message. I will not spam or advertise here. The reason I am using Hang Outs is for a weekly session between myself and the public learning more about seizure disorders and how to bring Peace and Power into thier week even when they live with seizures. So far we've had 2 episodes of NSDF Power Hour and each episode led to more questions concerning hang outs.

I requested to join after being invited by my new friend Heather Kraafter and am deeply appreciative. With my schedule and the energy I put into my work, I need a loving community to come to when I have questions concerning hang outs and when I am in need to learn new tools and tips. I believe this is the community for me after watching a few minutes of the CCHOA Videos. 

I look forward to building relationships here and when time allows I look forward to posting questions I know will have answers.

Switch Accounts for Hangouts and Hangouts on Air - when joining
A common problem for many people is having too many accounts on Google Plus. This does not fix that situation, but helps you manage it better when invited into a video call...

As pictured in the 3 images below, we have the option now to Switch Accounts before joining a video call (either Hangout Video Call or Hangout on Air).

If someone invites you into a video call and they send the invitation to the wrong account (not your preferred account), you now have the option to switch accounts before joining the call via the "Switch account" link pictured in image number 1 at the bottom of the Join Interface.

This is not used to change from being a "Profile" to being a "Page" but is used if you happen to be invited (and received that invite) into a call and are using the wrong account. You'll see the account invited via the email address displayed below the Join button.

Your best bet is to tell those inviting you which is the proper account to use and potentially try to remove the wrong account from the system, but that is a whole different process and issue to address.

Susan Finch brought this new option to my attention recently. I think it is helpful for people when they are getting invited into video calls frequently with the wrong account. Hopefully that is not you!

Not sure what category this would go in.  99% of our clients are Not on G+ so we do private coaching on the YouTube side.

Was watching the mastery teaching about the guest account and I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around this.  

Using private YouTube -  one way you keep it private is by entering the client's email into the "who can view this" box.

BUT, even on YouTube they have to have, at a minimum, a  gmail account.  For some clients that's can be an issue - they just don't want to set one up.

 IF I set up a guest profile like Ronnie did and get them in that way using That gmail account, can I then go back to the "who can view this" box on YouTube, remove that guest email and replace it with theirs??????

These were taken side by side in a BHOA Event and a G+ Event.
I just wanted to see the viewing experience of my viewers watching an Event.
I will say this... I like in BHOA watching the video on the left and being able to see the comments on the right.  You never lose view of the video.  In G+ Events if you go down the screen looking at comments the video stays at the top and you lose focus.

Tomorrow Wednesday August 8th 6th let's have a training session.
Here is how it will work!
Every "Newbie" will get a chance to be with an experienced person 'Trainer"  Everyone else can come watch and be in the audience watching the Event.  

FIRST Trainer w/ Newbie
Be in a Hangout On Air (10 minutes TOPS) 
SECOND
Before you exit the HOA you take 10 minutes and the NEWBIE has to Setup a SHOAE
THIRD Newbie w/ Trainer
The Newbie starts the SHOAE and invites your Experienced partner
and goes for less than 10 minutes.

So about 30 minutes round trip.  

Now!
Who wants to be a newbie and... 
who id confident and knows they can run a SHOAE and be a trainer here.

We will start about 7pm Eastern time.

Just add a comment here and let me know who wants to be a newbie and who wants to be a trainer.  I will pair you guys up and set up times.  Some of you have become friends here.  If you want to chose who you want to be your trainer, let me know that as well.

I have a question for you awesome people. I have noticed that the quality of my videos have gone south in terms of resolution and sound quality.  It did not have that problem before and think it maybe that my internet speed has slowed.  Do you have any pointers for dealing with situation?

Sorry I have been out of commision for the last 4 months and not been around. Had to have more neck surgery :(

Anyway, I am back, but have forgotten almost everything I learned before the surgery. Morphine, Valium, Dilaudid, Ambien will do that to you sometimes. :)

I've been on a Mobile HOA assignment for all this week (still am) but I just noticed a new way to send or receive money via my gmail interface.

I'm at the Oshkosh EAA AirVenture 2014 air show and am busy covering the show via mobile HOA broadcasts for Kestrel Aircraft Company  (circle them for aviation news and as a way to thank them for being proactive with Hangouts).
